Teaching the Spanish alphabet takes a lot of repetition--but that doesn't mean that your students need to do the same activity over and over again! In this post, I'm going to show your four simple ways to practice the Spanish alphabet so that you can save planning time while giving your students the repetition they need to build strong literacy skills.If you're teaching kindergarten or first grade in a bilingual or dual language classroom, you probably need Spanish alphabet activities that are easy to prep, simple for students to understand, and flexible enough to use throughout your literacy block.

Sometimes you just need an activity that gets everyone participating!
Spanish Alphabet BINGO
Spanish Alphabet BINGO gives students repeated practice recognizing letters and connecting them with familiar Spanish words and pictures.
Use it for whole group, small groups, literacy centers or partner practice. The included letter and picture/word cards also give you additional ways to practice beyond the BINGO game itself.

2. Build Independence with Task Cards
I love activities that students can learn once and use again and again.
With Spanish Alphabet Task Cards, students follow a simple routine: They observe the letter and picture, trace the letter, and say the word.
Student-friendly directions and task card box covers make these especially useful for Spanish literacy centers and independent practice.
Once students know the routine, you don't have to explain it over and over and OVER again!

3. Read, Trace & Color
Sometimes simple really is better.
Read - Trace - Color pages combine letter recognition, handwriting, and fine motor practice on one page.
Students follow the same predictable routine each time, making these easy to use for morning work, centers, homework, small groups, or extra Spanish alphabet practice.
Low prep. High practice! That's a win on a busy school day!

4. Read, Trace & Search
Want another way to reinforce the same alphabet skills?
With Read - Trace - Search, students identify the letter and picture, practice tracing, and then search for the target letter.
This adds visual discrimination to the routine while still giving students the consistency of familiar Spanish alphabet practice.
I created my Spanish Alphabet Activities Bundle so that you can rotate between four predictable routines while students continue working on the same essential skills.
